II.Mobile transport elements combined with stationary divert elements

But: Restriction in product range, limitation of throughput to approx. 4000/h

Mobile transport elements combined with mobile divert elements
à transport elements: modular belts, slats, trays, carriers
à divert elements: wheels, sliding shoes, tilting trays, driven belts
wide product range, high throughput > 8000/h up 15000/h
But: High initial investment costs

Virtual reality is an engineering tool that will allow the customer to “walk” through their completed warehouse design to evaluate the flow and positioning of items so that changes can be made prior to the beginning of installation. This could also be used to determine interactions within the warehouse, such as between AGV’s and personnel, to maximize safety.
